Volcano Cook Stoves The King of all Dutch Oven accessories. The Volcano Red Dome or Volcano I, comes with or without clip on leg extensions. The legs will raise the cooking height to 25 1/2 inches. The Volcano Black Rock or Volcano II is collapsible, easy to set up, and comes with a carrying case. Lifting the handle raises the upper body and the legs swing out and lock in place. Lifting the lower section of the body collapses the stove for storage. The patented heat chamber conducts heat more efficiently than conventional stoves, and has been designed for use with 12 inch, or smaller Dutch Ovens.
The Volcano is equipped with a very efficient draft system which allows for temperature control. You can use charcoal briquettes, wood, or propane with an optional attachment. They are proven to be environmentally safe and useable even where no open fires are allowed, and in “No Trace Camping” recommended by the Forestry Department, and the Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
A Volcano has very little bottom heat, so cooking on wood decks, stream banks, patio’s and picnic tables is not a problem. It’s double-wall construction keeps it cool to the touch (even the bottom) and the chimney effect channels heat directly to the food instead of the surrounding air.
All Volcanoes come equipped with a top grille and a bottom grate for holding charcoal briquettes or wood. Because of the excellent and unique engineering design, the Volcano is almost impossible to tip over.
Dutch Ovens can be stacked 2 to 3 high making it possible to cook for large crowds with minimal fuel. Any size wok, frying pan, or griddle can be used with a Volcano, and an 8”, 10” or 12” oven will fit inside. When using a 12” oven, you only need 12 to 14 briquettes on the bottom grate when cooking with a Volcano.
